TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY AND I HAD A GREAT DAY. MY FRIEND KIM CALLED ME THIS MORNING TO WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY THEN I WENT TO WORK AND LATER HAD A FUN LUNCH WITH MY WORK BUDDIES. WHEN I GOT HOME I OPENED A CARD FROM MY SISTER, LAURA THAT MADE ME LAUGH...IT PLAYED "BRICK HOUSE". ONLY SHE WOULD DO THAT. MY SISTER GOLDIE AND PARENTS HAD ALREADY SENT ME SWEET CARDS. THEY ARE SO GOOD AT REMEMBERING BIRTHDAYS AND MAKING PEOPLE FEEL SPECIAL. I HAD MESSAGES FROM MY SISTER TERESA AND MY MOM AND DAD WISHING ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I HOPE PEOPLE KNOW HOW MUCH IT MEANS TO ME WHEN THEY JUST TAKE THE TIME TO LEAVE ME A MESSAGE OR SEND A CARD TO LET ME KNOW THEY WERE THINKING ABOUT ME. ESPECIALLY MY SISTERS THAT ARE FAR AWAY AND I MISS SOOOO MUCH. THE BOYS GAVE ME CANDY FOR MY BIRTHDAY...THEN THEY ATE IT FOR ME... AND WE HAD CAKE AND ICE CREAM. IT WAS JUST A REGULAR DAY...BUT I LOVE MY REGULAR DAYS! I LOVE THE LIFE I HAVE WITH MY FAMILY, EVEN IF I AM A YEAR OLDER.

This has been a fun baseball season for Mason. He moved up to the BIG coach pitch league. He has enjoyed it but is ready to slow down... and so am I. Between practice, games and church activities we have something going on most nights of the week and poor little Andrew is a good sport along for the ride. He will be ready for T-ball next year. LOOK OUT COACHES!

For Andrew, this is the best part of baseball season...SNOWCONES!

SUMMER FUN

Well, School has been out for a week now so it is officially summer, I don't care what the calendar says. Mark is working out of town most of this week so I've got to think of some fun things to do in the evenings. Mason has several baseball games next week so that will probably keep us occupied most of the time. He missed several games this week. He has been sick with fever since Tuesday night. You know he feels bad when he does not want to go anywhere but the couch! He is too much like me, wanting to go all the time, so I knew he felt bad.

With Mark out of town I thought I would see how Mason was feeling tomorrow and after church go shopping to pick up some things for our vacation in a couple of weeks. Isn't that sad, Dad goes out of town and Mom drags the boys shopping. We gotta get ready for the BEACH! This will be the first time the boys have been to the beach. I am excited to see how they react when they see the ocean.

Mark's sister, Tammy and her husband Dennis get here next Saturday with the kids. We will all head out Sunday together for Houston then Galveston. They are a fun family to vacation with. The kids all have a good time together with other kids to play with while we are seeing the sights. I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to share when we get back. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
